Fun with Search Stats
Inspired by the crazy search terms Krystle found for her blog, I decided to trawl through my own stats packages looking for interesting search referrals. If you’re the kind of person who still forwards emails about good-luck angels, let me briefly explain that a “search referral” is when someone searches Google (or equivalent) with specific key words looking for information, and then clicks one of the websites Google returns. Since they have been “referred” to the website via a “search”, it is called a “search referral”.
My biggest search referral of all time, and tops my search referrals without fail every month, is “ricki-lee coulter”. She obviously has a lot of fans out there who stumble across my site be accident. Suckers. My other top search referrals are also for celebrities, such as “jeordie white” (bass player for NIN, ex-Manson) and “shane crawford”. I also, obviously, get quite a few from people searching for “reverend timothy”. Is my URL really that hard to remember? :-þ
Then it starts getting interesting.
I have quite a few referrals from “jenny s porn page” and “foot long titties”. Although I have a friend called Jenny, and I love Porn, I don’t believe I’ve ever posted the two together (until now). Same goes for “foot long titties”. Anyone who knows me will know that I’m a legs & bum man, not a boob man... so where people are finding Subway titties from my site is beyond me.
Then I have the fetish searches. “toenail polish pictures men”, “cross dressing picture gallery”, “interesting things that happen at night in sydney harbour”, “2005 halloween cross-dressing party”. These are all accurate, though, with the exception of the last one (I’ve been to halloween parties, and I’ve cross-dressed at parties, but never together :-þ)
Finally, one person found my site through a search keyphrare so different, I think you had better see it for yourself.

WTF indeed.
I once upon a time had funny searches leading to my blog such as "what is meaning of mole above eyebrow".
My counter just reveals the one search in the past few months: "jen wearing". I don't quite understand what exactly that person was looking for.
All the rest are just links referrals. Or searches for images of Angelina Jolie. Boring.
Oh yeah, that was me searching for myself on Google. What? Everyone searches for themselves at least once! ;)
The moral of this story is:
Don't let partners handle the package unless they are fully qualified...
Ah the wonders of the world wide webbie. There is some major freakage out there.
Jen: But Jen, what is the meaning of a mole above the eyebrow? Is that something like a mole on the sole of your feet means you like to travel lots?
Jenny: Haha, that was you, hey? I'll have to visit www.jennyshotpassionateloving.com sometime :-þ
UTMG: I'm not sure I'm following...
Steph: Indeed there is. And we're all included.
Pardon me for asking, but where can you find those stats? Or do you have to own your domain name?

Most of these stats were found with a default stats package which came when I bought my own webspace.
HOWEVER
Some of the stats (such as the ones from my blog, which is obviously external to my regular website) come from a nifty free website called sitemeter.com
Check it out. :-)
My next post was gonna be a compilation of all my weird ones too!
I'll have to wait a while now cos yours are much better.
Classic stuff - I blog hopped. I've found some classic searches on mine including nude aunties, but I think yours takes the cake!
